US Personal Tax Update  - with Joe Devaney

Thomas B. Devaney, FCA, Director of Video News Inc., consults with accountants and lawyers on tax matters as well as prepares monthly tax update DVDs, CDs, and newsletters for accountants, lawyers and other professionals.

Mr. Devaney has lectured for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, the Society of Management Accountants, the Certified General Accountants, and for the Universities of Alberta, Calgary and McGill as well as for the Canadian Tax Foundation.

Mr. Devaney is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta's Taxation Committee and is a past member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta's Goods and Services Tax SubCommittee.

Mr. Devaney has practiced exclusively in the area of taxation since 1974.

Joe R. Devaney, C.A., Project Manager with Video News Inc. and Senior Tax Analyst with Grant Thornton LLP, provides technical and consultation support on both Canadian and U.S. corporate and personal tax matters. Recently published by the Canadian Tax Foundation for his article “Americans in Canada: The End of Amnesty”, Joe’s practical experience includes consultation surrounding regular filing requirements and special voluntary disclosure programs associated with Americans living in Canada, US non-residents, and Canadian snowbirds.

Joe Devaney currently sits on the board of directors for Edmonton Fringe Theater Adventures and the steering committee of the Edmonton Young Tax Practitioners Group.
